Antiscalants & corrosion inhibitors

Antiscalants and corrosion inhibitors are formulated blends that stop scale and corrosion in RO membranes, cooling towers and boilers, produced to standard or customer formulations.

Scale and corrosion are the two failures that shorten the life of every water system. Antiscalants — typically phosphonates such as HEDP, ATMP and PBTC combined with polyacrylate or maleic polymers — hold calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate and silica in solution well past their natural saturation point. Corrosion inhibitors add film-forming components such as zinc, phosphates or azoles that protect steel and copper surfaces.

No single blend suits every water. The right formulation depends on the water analysis, concentration cycles, temperature and metallurgy. Standard products cover most RO and cooling tower duties, and blends are toll manufactured to a customer's own formulation and packed under their label.

Antiscalants & corrosion inhibitors — frequently asked

Yes. Antiscalants, corrosion inhibitors and cooling water programmes are toll manufactured to a customer's own formulation, filled into their packaging and labelled with their brand. Formulations are kept confidential under NDA.

Selection starts from a full feed water analysis — calcium, magnesium, barium, strontium, bicarbonate, sulphate, silica, iron and pH — together with the RO recovery rate. From this the scaling risk is calculated and an antiscalant and dose are recommended.

Some are and some are not. PBTC-based products tolerate chlorine much better than ATMP or HEDP, so chlorinated cooling systems usually use PBTC chemistry. RO feed water is dechlorinated before the membranes regardless.

Yes. Chemtrade manufactures and exports Antiscalants & corrosion inhibitors from Surat, Gujarat, India to more than 55 countries, for customers in Water Treatment. Send your grade, quantity and destination port for a quotation within one business day.

Every shipment of Antiscalants & corrosion inhibitors from Chemtrade includes a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Certificate of Origin, third-party pre-shipment inspection and destination-specific regulatory documentation are arranged on request.
